> Hi, Has anyone else noticed a strange bug with Ignition’s OPC UA module in 7.9.10 communicating with a ControlLogix PLC with firmware v32 where when a tag name is changed in the PLC the name change is not reflected in the OPC Browser after a refresh and reading/writing to the tag still works with the old PLC tag name in the tag properties? A workaround at this moment is deleting the device from the gateway entirely and adding the device back which makes the OPC Browser work as intended (tag na…

Their configuration is shown below and is consistent with exception of the names, IP address, and slot. We have found that when adding new tags to the processor that the new tags do not always show up in Designer’s tag tree. Perhaps we haven’t always waited long enough, but it doesn’t seem to happen in a reasonable amount of ti…

Is this normal behavior and how can I prevent this?

I’ve tried connecting to the PLC with servers running the following Ignition versions: • 7.9.9 • 7.9.12 • 8.0.9 And I get the same symptoms as OP. I am connected, can browse, but have bad quality on any tag. I am connected over an ENBT card in slot 2 of the rack, and then to slot 0. Gateway restarts, and enable/disable of device connections have not helped. For comparison, I am able to connect to an L71S and a compact…

Ignition version 8.0.15 I’m still not sure that it isn’t a network problem, but I am unsure as to how to diagnose the Ignition system to check its usage. I have six clients currently connected and since the last two were brought online tags have been going stale. I restart them and they are fine for a few minutes, then I lose them again. Then when I check the others, the problem occurs on all Clients. This is not specific to one or two machines. …

> Hi folks, Ignition 7.9.6 We’ve got a v32 5069 processor that’s been running and connected for several months with no issues. Over the weekend, it seems to have lost connectivity to Ignition. We’ve power cycled the device, restarted the logix driver, it just won’t connect properly. In the gateway, it shows as “Connected,” but I cannot view the details. In the log, we get the following: LogixDriver 01Feb2021 11:35:37 Browse failed: com.digitalpetri.enip.cip.CipResponseExcept…
