I can't speak to the specifics of the Demo project because I didn't build it.

Yes. By default, the websocket is capped at something like 2mb. You can adjust this by [editing the Gateway configuration file](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/gateway-crashing-when-passing-view-parameter/41392/25).
