# Perspective: Gantt Charts with labels

Hi all,  
i'd like to add some text in a gantt chart as in the following example:

Hello pgmo,

It doesn't look like this custom configuration of the XY chart has a way for us to include labels directly on the objects.

As a workaround, we can utilize the tool tip functionality to include some form of label that is viewable when selecting the specified time frame. Under the example objects, we can create a new property which can then be referenced under the tooltip text property.

Hi @Patrick_Chanthilack , thanks for your reply. I've already done as you suggested, that's a good workaround. I'll submit a suggestion to _Ignition Features and Ideas_.

Adding the text on the bar of gantt chart(not on the tooltip) is that not possible ?

Looks like this can be done with series[x].line.appearance.bullets[0].render:label
