I'm trying to reduce the amount of points to plot using Power Chart.
Although, I've noticed that using pointCount property I can define the number of data points returned for the selected time range, my question is:

What process pointCount use to do this? (Is something similar to "ramer-douglas-peucker" algorithm?)
