Hey All!

Please see the attached error message from my intern's project. Any clues on how to resolve it?
JsonSyntaxException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Expected BEGIN\_OBJECT but was STRING at line 1 column 1 path $

1. Go to the gateway's installation directory
2. Navigate to `/data/projects/$yourProjectName/com.inductiveautomation.perspective/views/AKF_Main/`
3. Open the `view.json` file in a text editor
4. Hope that it's still got useful content

Alternate step 1:
Contact our support department officially.

the error being 'expected begin object but was string' suggests a missing open bracket in the view json

Hopefully. I'm worried the literal file content is going to be something like:

```python
object Object
```

or

```python
IllegalStateException: Something bad happened
```

Or equivalent. In which case I hope OP has set up scheduled backups.

you don't need a backup to access this, it should just be in program files/Inductive Automation
