I have set up some security to require a login to open a perspective session. I have noticed that after I login, if I close the browser without logging out, the next time the session is launched, the user id field contains the last id that was used. The password is not maintained and that must be reentered. Is there a way to clear the id field after starting the session?

The retention is due to settings in the browser, not the component. Please look at the documentation for the browser in use to determine how to prevent username retention.
