# Perspective: Video player live stream with username/password

v8.0.15

How can I supply a username/password to the Video Player in Live mode? I’m trying to use it with an mjpeg stream, however it needs credentials.

You could try the prefix style - I believe it’s only valid with Basic authentication, but worth a try:  
`https://username:password@hostname/path`
