# Perspective Workstation Version and Ignition Gateway Version

Is the Perspective Workstation version tied to the Gateway version?

Specifically, with the new workstation 8.1.44, can I run it against Gateway version 8.1.7?

Yes, you can use the new workstation against a gateway version all the way back to 8.1.0.

Update: I meant 8.1.0, sorry for the confusion.

It should be noted that functionality may vary here based on the gateway version and its supported features.
