# Perspective XY Chart Box Selection

The XY chart has the ability to "select multiple" by grabbing the xy positions of the selected value on the chart, adding it to a selected points chart, and then graphing an overlayed circle. This works fine, but I was hoping to implement a box selection tool since quite a few points often need to be selected. Is there an easy way to implement this?

I looked at using a rectangular overlay but figured that this would create issues mapping the mouse position to chart area, and the chart sits in an embedded view.

Thank you! My IT is pretty restrictive on adding modules, but I will bring this up as a possibility. I'm assuming your response means that there's no easy built-in functionality?

AFAIK, no, the XY Chart only has the click-to-select feature.
