# Perspective -XY Chart - Custom Data Labels and custom x-axis tick values

Hey All,

I am trying to format an XY Chart to have custom data labels and also dynamic x-axis lines. I tried to use the tooltip sub property on the series property to provide the data label but I am not sure what the format syntax is for the text. See below for the property in question and an example of what I am looking for in terms of Labels.
