You are missing your array subscript in the latter set of parameters.

Why are you passing parameters through a list of dicts ?
Do you ever pass more than the one dict ?

i am using the same method in other pages successfully using embedded windows object. the pop-up method is failing to update the parameters.

Right, that expression needs an **array** of dictionaries. Your popup action is only passing a simple dictionary, when it needs to pass a single dictionary in a list.

If you only ever want to pass a single tag to the popup, you can make a view custom property that encapsulates a single dictionary in a list, so that the history binding can use it.

Your view expects this:

```python
[
  {
    'aggregate': "something",
    'alias': "something",
    'path': "something"
  }
]
```

A list containing dicts.

instead of `Graph.param`, you should be using `Graph[0].param`

Though I'd probably build the list first in a custom prop, then pass just that to `graph`
