# Ports required to launch a designer and a client

With Ignition 8…

What are the required ports for the designer and the vision clients?

I know port 8088 is required. But is there any others that are needed?

Ignition 8 will exclusively use the HTTP/HTTPS port defined in the webserver settings, per the SSL settings of the gateway webserver. Unlike in 7.x, both ports don’t have to be open.
