Hi,

The default powerchart tag browser of perspective lacks the search functionality, is there any workaround to add search function.

There's no work around aside from creating this functionality yourself, either by using the Tree component and generating the nodes yourself via script, or some other component like a Table.

I have attempted this myself before, and i'll say that I found it difficult to produce a performant Tree structure when you have a lot of historised tags. There was a noticeable delay when lazy-loading tree nodes when expanding folders. I tried a number of things to reduce this like caching the tagpaths etc, but I couldn't get an acceptable lag. Loading the entire tree was not an option; there was a significant performance hit to the entire page when I first tested this (as I suspected there would be).

Going with a Table that is virtualised is far easier.
