# Pump animationDirection

Hi,

I'm using a pump symbol in Ignition Perspective, and I can adjust its `animationSpeed` property successfully. However, I also need to change the **rotation direction** of the pump's fan. By default, it rotates **clockwise** , but I want it to rotate **anti-clockwise**.

I've tried modifying the `transform` and `animationDirection` properties, but they don’t seem to have any effect.

Is there a proper way to reverse the rotation direction of the pump animation?

May I ask what benefit or value is added by the pump rotation being a specific direction? If you want to convey the direction to the operator, might I suggest a label that states the direction.

Hi,

Thanks for the help! I was able to fix the issue by using the `transform` property — I flipped the pump horizontally, and that reversed the rotation direction as needed.
