# Python 2.7 no longer maintained after 01.01.2020

Googling the internet, I stumbled upon this nice site:

What about Jython? Shall Ignition script language switch to 3.x too?

There is no Jython 3.x (yet). So, no. I follow the jython dev list, where they have been discussing at least one more Jython 2.7 release before pushing for v3.

There’s no real risk for us and we’re in no hurry to switch anyway.
