We are using a iSMA-B-MIX18 to control one of our HVAC units. We are using the Red Lion data converter DA30D. We have no issues with reading the inputs but can not get the outputs to work...... See the screen shot. How do we write from Ignition through the data converter???

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum!
I believe you just need to click the bidirectional checkbox on your binding.
I hope it's a simple issue like this, it'll mean your communication is working fine but if it still doesn't work, take a step back and try to write directly to the tag from the Tag Browser, if it works there, you'll know surely it's a problem with your bindings on your windows.

Also, don't forget to remove your filter on your vision property editor, like this:
 ![java_o9agANKTat](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/inductiveautomation/original/3X/3/0/30d0f1ca5b78780e200e5c10651307db6f378fe5.gif)
One more thing, you don't have to bind to a tag's .value property, you can just point it to the root of the tag.

Ok we turned on the Bi directional. We linked the root and turned on all values. We get the screen shot attached.

What kind of driver is this? What address is the tag configured with?

“Inputs” are generally read only…

No issues with inputs... It's the outputs that do not work.

That's just a tag path, would need to see the OPC Item Path and know what kind of driver you're using.

Does it happen with every output tag?
Can you write to one of these tags using the tag browser instead?
On the tag browser, can you show us what all of the tag's properties values are?

Like above.
A screenshot of what the binding looks like now could also be useful, recreate your first screenshot with the current configuration.

I would check the configuration in the RedLion. We typically use them to pass tags directly between devices, but we also typically set them up for one-way communications. It's possible it's rejecting writes to those tags because it simply can't write back depending on the config.
