I am looking into the scenario where the master server goes down and the backup takes over. On the client side the project is not started yet and the client is trying to open the application from their shortcut, but it cannot launch. I was under the impression that the launcher would first try to connect to the master then the backup if the master was unreachable. Is there something in our settings that I need to fix?

Are you using the Native Client Launcher? When it creates shortcuts in a redundant environment, the shortcut has both server addresses. This cannot be done with JNLP shortcuts.

I believe it’s the .jnlp, as we just select the launch button from the gateway webpage. I will try with the client launcher. If it works I have a lot of computers to update. Thank you.
