Vision 8.1.24
We have a number of reference tags (which are part of UDTs) that are linked to a tag group with a slow direct update rate. The intent of these tags were to copy the OPC tags (which update at 50ms) but to limit their update rate to something slower so that the vision screens don't jump around crazy fast with analog values.

It appears this doesn't work (the reference tags do not seem to follow the tag group's direct update rate). Is this expected, and if so is there another option?

Try expression tags instead of reference tags.

Hi @pturmel. What would be the reason that reference tags don’t follow the Tag Group execution rate?

IIRC, reference tags bypass all of the normal infrastructure and just tap into changes on the source tag. (Tag Actor, maybe?)
