# Remote Tag Providers not coming back in after gateway shutdowns

Hello,

We have several remote backend gateways with remote tag providers. After a gateway shutdown, usually the remote tag provider is lost, in the designer it shows completely empty in the tag browser.

Here's what it looks like in the gateway status page

The fix is simple - just try to configure the remote tag provider via  
Config-Tags-Realtime Tag Providers-Edit - "Save Changes" (no actual changes)

And boom tag provider magically comes back up.
