You can’t use client tags directly in a report, because reports are generated in the gateway.

What you’ll need to do is use your client tag to [override an existing parameter](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC79/Report+Parameters#ReportParameters-WhatareParametersUsefulFor?) for your report in either the [report viewer](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC79/Report+Viewer?src=sidebar) or through [system.report.executeAndDistribute()](https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/display/DOC79/system.report.executeAndDistribute)
