Does it work to use SQL Bridge + Reporting module without any visualization option? I see that I can build that package online.

I am trying to save some costs. I figure the gateway can just run in the background and populate fields, and print to a printer? No screens needed.

Is this a workable solution? Just want to confirm

Yes, that can work. You can email or save PDFs to a folder on a schedule, and can access both saved files and on-demand reports with the WebDev module.

(But brace yourself for frustration--SCADA isn't really SCADA without a UI.)

Cool thanks. I figured that it would be fine. We have a PanelView HMI that does everything that we need (except generating nice PDFs). This will work for us.
