Recently my company restarted my PC while my project was up and running. Now when i tried to open a window the designer put up a message saying 'Unable to retrieve edit lock for resource xxxxx Another designer, located (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) has this resource locked for editing. But this is the same PC and user! Why can’t i brake this lock? ---

You should be able to terminate the session from the gateway. The lock should go away on its own after a few hours and the gateway cleans up the orphaned lock. ---

I had this happen to me a few times yesterday after i had to kill the designer. Just need to wait a few minutes and the lock is released. ---
