# Restart gateway without direct access to computer running gateway

Is there a way to start and stop or restart a gateway without physically being on the computer running the gateway? Can you do it from the gateway webpage itself?

Not directly, at least currently.

One fairly heavyweight hack that I wouldn't really recommend, but can be useful in a pinch:  
Take a gateway backup and immediately restore it.
