# Scripting Functions getSelectedText() on Text Field component

I hello I want to request your support to understand the syntax of how to use getSelectedText(), because we have the issue to monitor the input text, thanks for your time

Not sure on the getSelectedText(), but you might want to check out the Formatted Text Field as well. You can use it to filter input and it may be able to help.
