# SDK - GatewayContext.getFrameworkVersion() method

Hi,

in previous Ignition SDK versions com.inductiveautomation.ignition.gateway.model.GatewayContext interface had a getFrameworkVersion() method. SDK for Ignition 8.0 beta does not include that method in GatewayContext class. Is that method available now in another class or as a property value?

The concept of a framework version no longer exists in 8.0. Modules don’t need to declare one and we don’t check for it any more.
