# Seimens S7 1200 Communications

Hello all,

I am new to the Seimens line of PLCs and I cannot get any values out of the S7 1200.

I have read through old posts and have tried all the things listed. I have set the PLC to “Full Acess”. I am using TIA Portal v13 to program the PLC.

I get a connected status in the Ignition Gateway. In Designer, my values are null. My addressing in Designer is:  
[S7 1200 PLC]IB0 – This should be the physical address of the physical inputs on the PLC.

The Gateway Console Error I get is:  
Error reading S7ReadResponse. Error code=8104

Windows 7  
Ignition 7.7.0  
Java 1.8.0\_11

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated!

In addition to setting ‘full access’ you also must make sure that you check the box at the bottom of that dialog to enable PUT/GET communication from remote partner. On data blocks, ‘optimized block access’ must be unchecked as well.
