# Session-prop (project ressources) update in 8.1, how to do in 8.3?

in 8.1 to update project session props, we simply write the **props.json** fil and rescan the project.  
in 8.3 it dosen't works. It's probably because the associated resource.json is not changed and it seems that the changes for the session props files need to be done with the API.

```python
system.config

```

can make changes for project ressources such as session prop or page config for example ?  
types are not available in system.config.getResourceTypes()

or I need to use SDK and

```python
projectManager.find(projectName).get().getAllResources()

```

but I don't find them too in the resources returned ???

Project resources are a distinct island from config resources; the only supported means to update project resources is via the designer (intentionally).

That said, updating files on disk and calling the **project** scan endpoint/`system.project.requestScan` should absolutely work, even if the resource.json file didn't change.

Thanks,  
change in the props.json file + a gateway project scan from the web page, session terminate and relaunch, but the new session property is missing...  
I launch the designer for the project and the session prop is not present.  
I will need to investigate and probably missed something...
