I've setup two docker instances with the following docker-compose:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/inductiveautomation/original/3X/a/7/a7efcd96fabeb44826b22c4d76407d63934a75bd.png)

Both gateways work, but configuring the redundancy between the two fails
I've set frontend01 as master and frontend02 as backup with master node address 192.168.100.2
Approved the connection on the backup

But don't see a Incoming connection on the master

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/inductiveautomation/original/3X/3/5/353f46b2ecc2ca6a689496d6852b0a7e21df1902.png)

In the logging on the backup i do find this

Can some one help me?

I'm wondering if there are issues like address conflicts or proxies on that bridge network `192.168.100.0/24`.

I am able to connect the two gateways without issue using this environment. Does this work for you?

```yaml
services:
  frontend01:
    image: inductiveautomation/ignition:8.3.8
    hostname: frontend01
    ports:
      - 9988:8088
    environment:
      - TZ=America/Los_Angeles
      - ACCEPT_IGNITION_EULA=Y
      - GATEWAY_ADMIN_USERNAME=admin
      - GATEWAY_ADMIN_PASSWORD=password
      - IGNITION_EDITION=standard
      - DISABLE_QUICKSTART=true
    command: >
      -n frontend01
      -m 2048
  frontend02:
    image: inductiveautomation/ignition:8.3.8
    hostname: frontend02
    ports:
      - 9989:8088
    environment:
      - TZ=America/Los_Angeles
      - ACCEPT_IGNITION_EULA=Y
      - GATEWAY_ADMIN_USERNAME=admin
      - GATEWAY_ADMIN_PASSWORD=password
      - IGNITION_EDITION=standard
      - DISABLE_QUICKSTART=true
      - GATEWAY_NETWORK_0_HOST=frontend01
      - GATEWAY_NETWORK_0_PORT=8060
    command: >
      -n frontend02
      -m 2048
```

Edit to add: I removed these env vars on the master. I realize they don't make sense for redundancy - once redundancy is configured, `frontend02` will use the name `frontend01-backup` for GAN

- GATEWAY\_NETWORK\_SECURITYPOLICY=SpecifiedList
- GATEWAY\_NETWORK\_WHITELIST=frontend02

Yes with this configuration i'm able to configure the Redundancy.
This gives me a good starting point
