On the ignition manual it states that connections to slc 5/05 and slc 5/04

" do not have a native Ethernet connection, therefore another device like a Net ENI or an ENBT must be used for the connection."

Is this true for slc 5/05 plcs? They do have built in ethernet ports, can ignition connect through them or are the separate ethernet modules still required?

You can directly connect to SLC 5/05 processors. You can route through Logix backplane’s DHRIO module to a SLC 5/04 processor (DH+).
