I just came upon this post. I’m facing the same issue for XML data type on SQL Server DB when update query is being run from Ignition. Was there a fix or workaround for this ? I anyways created a new topic for this - [Spanish Characters Encoding issue with Ignition while committing to SQL Server DB](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/spanish-characters-encoding-issue-with-ignition-while-committing-to-sql-server-db/114201)
