# Strange behavior in "Numeric Text Field"

Good afternoon.

In Ignition **8.0.14** , in the **Vision** module, I have placed a “ **Numeric Text Field** ” component with the following properties: _ **Border = No Border** _, _ **Editable? = False** _ and _ **Non-Editable Background = Transparent.** _ When I run in preview mode, the background of the component, which should be transparent, behaves **strangely**.  
Also when I close and open the window, the _Border_ property is **reset** to “Other Border”.
