# Table column view rowData not updating

I figured it out. I recently learned about the [performance hit of not making custom properties private](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/limitations-and-best-practices-for-defining-custom-view-parameters-at-the-root-level-in-ignition-perspective/112035/8) and was foolishly assuming it would be okay to make view _params_ private. It is not.
