Hi All,

I am looking for some assistance on getting the correct timestamping in our setup. Ignition Edge , using a MQTT transmission module with Sparkplug B, there is no local historian rather we are using store and forward to pass data to a broker to GeoSCADA. I have setup each analog with a deadband value which is timestamping at the correct deadband. We also want to guarantee a sample every 15 minutes. I have assigned my analog to the default tag group and set the history at a max time between interval of 15 minutes.

I am not seeing a timestamped event every 15 minutes.

Any help on this?

MQTT Transmission is not a historian, so does not even look at the historian settings. Sparkplug B doesn't have a mechanism to transmit an unchanged value. You will need to make the extra recording happen at the MQTT receiver side.

Thanks for the reply.

Is scripting possible?

def republish\_tags(root\_path, names): results = system.tag.browse(root\_path, {"recursive": True}) matched = [str(r["fullPath"]) for r in results.getResults() if r["name"] in names] if matched: values = system.tag.readBlocking(matched) system.tag.writeBlocking(matched, [v.value for v in values]) republish\_tags("[edge]Historian Data", ["PV", "SV", "Td"])
