Hi
It may sound strange question, but I've always wondered if I use long strings for my tags does it affect performance or not?
As I understand, in the Ignition the tag path is an actual pointer to it as we pass the string or manipulate it to read or write them.
So I guess if I use short tag name is better than using long string for large amount of tags.

i doubt the performance difference would be noticable, unless your names are really really long xd
