# Tags Not Updating & Tag History Not Logging Data

Hi, is it related to this log: **Clock drift, degraded performance, or pause-the-world detected. Max allowed deviation=1000ms, actual deviation=127661ms**? Does giving the gateway more RAM fix this issue? Also, it stops updating tags for some minutes.

That's over two minutes. I suspect something put your gateway to sleep, or you are using a VM run by a clueless IT department, and they paused the VM to take a snapshot.
