# The perspective-component module does not appear or does not work

Why doesn’t the example component module offered by Ignition ([ignition-sdk-examples/perspective-component at master · inductiveautomation/ignition-sdk-examples · GitHub](https://github.com/inductiveautomation/ignition-sdk-examples/tree/master/perspective-component)) appear in my designer after importing the module, even after restarting the designer, it’s still not there.

I managed to get it working, it turns out it was because of my Java version when running the command to build, I had version 21, I tried with version 17 and it worked.
