# Timer.value to Tag

Hello all,  
I have small problem in ignition.I am trying to move timer.value to tag and to move that I am using another timer and using script i am writing timer value to tag but it’s only working if i click on play at the top. once i stop it,it wont move latest value. How do I script to get updated value and it will run script in background all the time,Not just when I press play in designer.  
Please Let me know.

The short answer is you can’t. Component scripts will not run unless it’s in preview mode.
