Ignition 8.1.39

In my transaction group, I don't appear to be getting handshakes back.

I do NOT have the "Bypass Store and Forward" option set.
Which implies it IS using S&F.
Would using S&F cause handshakes not to be written?

Secondly, is it REQUIRED that the output item for the handshake be an INT4? or will any int type work?

Can I use a BOOL for the handshake item? Writing 1 on success and 0 on failure?

Thanks.

If you are using S&F, handshake is meaningless. All it could possibly mean is that your record has been queued in S&F. It tells you nothing about future delivery to the DB.

(Yes, handshake tags can be booleans.)
