# Trouble launching Vision developer

Was running designer 8.1.28, and was getting a message to update to 8.1.37. Kept failing to install, so I removed the designer from the PC, and installed the new version with out an issue, but when I try to launch the designer I get this alarm4

Is this error happening when you try to run the _Designer Launcher_, or is the launcher working, but this error occurs when trying to launch the _Designer_ against one of your Gateways?

I'd try downloading the launcher from the gateway again, re-installing it, then deleting the `.ignition` folder from your user home directory and trying to launch everything again.

If that doesn't work then give support a call.

I don't see a .ignition folder.
