I have received the below message in a window prompt after trying to run a client. This happens after the workstation that I am working on has recovered from an illegal power shutdown.

**SAXException when processing launch.xml: Content is not allowed in prolog**

I would appreciate your help on how to resolve this problem and where could i reference for information on the start up process of ignition ie what are the files that needs to run or created before client can be launched or how the launch.xml is created.

Thanks.

Check for `~/.ignition/clientlauncher-data/launch.xml`.

I think if you delete it the launcher will create a fresh one.

I deleted the ClientLauncher and still have the **SAXException when processing launch.xml: Content is not allowed in prolog** issue.

Don’t know why, but after a computer restart ClientLauncher worked, after I deleted the file.

Happened today with one of our customers...
They deleted the mentioned file, restart the PC an it worked. 👍

I have an older system that this occurs on every so often. I wrote a batch file the operator can run that deletes that file so then they can retry the client. Might be worth making as it does crop up a handful of times a year.
