# Unable to start the gateway

HI ,  
We use Ignition 7.9.7 and the Gateway has stopped and logs error for every 10 sec

**the log error is**  
com.inductive automation.ignition.gateway.web.util.Localized MessageException: The data store has reached its maximum capacity. at com.inductiveautomation.ignition.gateway.history.stores.AbstractDatasourceStore.syncdStoreData(AbstractDatasourceStore.java:277) at com.inductiveautomation.ignition.gateway.history.stores.AbstractDatasourceStore.storeQuarantinedData(AbstractDatasourceStore.java:266) at com.inductiveautomation.ignition.gateway.history.stores.MemoryStore$BasicForwardTransaction.markFailed(MemoryStore.java:204) at com.inductiveautomation.ignition.gateway.history.forwarders.ForwarderThread.run(ForwarderThread.java:160)

is this a problem with Database are Ignition?

How to over come this problem?

The error suggests your database is full. To log errors every ten seconds, I expect the gateway would need to be running.

Now the Gateway has started but still the error logs

The quarantine for the Store and Forward system is full. Examine the quarantine to find out what is going wrong. Probably something on a ten-second interval is misconfigured.
