I updated to the latest version of Java and now I can’t get the gateway to start from the Control Utility. When I try to restart the gateway it will not restart. I’ve updated the ignition.conf file to point to the Java location (wrapper.java.command=C:\Program Files(x86)\Java\jre1.8.0\_161\bin\java.exe) but still with no luck. I don’t know why I can’t get Java to install in the Program Files (not PF x86) directory and if this is my issue. Please help!

Make sure you downloaded and installed a 64bit version of Java.

For some reason, even with selecting a 64 bit version of Java, it was always installing in the Program Files (x86) folder. So I went back to the original version of Java that I was running before and was able to get it to work. Thanks!
