# Use of Binary Data parameter in Reporting

In 8.1.16, binary data (byte array) is added as an allowed report parameter datatype. However, there is no documentation available around how to use it. Can anyone give an example / explain - which report components can have such parameter.

The main use would be for the image component in reports.

Hello @KathyApplebaum. Do you have an example about loading image binary data to a parameter and load it to the image component of the report module?
