# User management : Error while adding an user

Hello:  
I went through user manual and the videos for adding user management screen in the ignition designer. I added the user management screen and tried to create a user and I’m getting the error: “Save Failed. You are not authorized to change gateway source”. I’ve logged in as admin. I’m not sure what is causing this error. Any suggestions please?

You have to check the box on the gateway settings page that says: “Allow User Admin” to make user management changes from a client or designer.
