# Using indirect tagging with Tables

When using a table I see it’s possible to link a value of the table with a direct tag path via the Cell Update. But I was wondering if there is anyway to use an indirect tag path for a table value instead?

I actually have this same question - I watched the video and it seems to only be indirect tagging of an easy chart. Meanwhile I am looking for tags of a table (spreadsheet). I am already pulling in data from all of the correct tags, I am curious if there is a way to push data back (upon cell update) to the source of the cell’s data collection?

You’d need to respond to the [cellEdited event](https://www.inductiveautomation.com/support/usermanuals/ignition/index.html?event_types.htm) and push it back.
