Hi all,

Just looking for some advice. I was considering creating a vision based container adding pan/zoom functionality. Now I was planning on using **BasicContainer** to achieve this and add on from there. My main concern is it seems that something similar has been discussed previously: [BasicContainer do not persist the components dropped](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/basiccontainer-do-not-persist-the-components-dropped/45382), which leads me to believe a project like this would:

1. Be a huge undertaking and may not pay off in the end.
2. May just not work from the start.

Any advice or comments would be appreciated but I am looking around and can't tell how feasible this would be.

Thanks,

MG3.

Not feasible at all.

When IA modifies the `BasicContainer` to factor out certain designer operations as described in that topic, then it will be possible. (And I will tackle it quickly.)
