Oh could I add another one?

Be able to adjust the margins between different plots

I have something that's kind of out there, but that we had to implement a couple times:
A more flexible tag browser.

Let me explain:
We often have exploitation tags that reference acquisition tags. Only the acquisition tags are historized, but the operators want to see the exploitation tags.
So we build a tag browser for exploitation tags, which shows tags that are different from the ones being actually added to the power chart.

I'm not sure how you'd approach that, but maybe someone can figure something out.

An easy way to select the data source and parameters displayed in the charts.

Just discovered this topic. All already discussed improvements sound great.

A few ideas:

- export the full raw data (not the data resampled for display) within the displayed time range for all the selected tags
- export the annotations for the selected period and tags

Derivative tags have been a request of mine for a while. Right now the only way to achieve this is through expression tags. I spoke to IA a while ago about this and they mentioned it was in the works, but I think that's been dropped lately

If not mentioned already,
xtrace es would be handful to have an option so they stick to the point(time) where it(they) was(were) dropped and not reposition when dragging or zooming.

## Power Chart Pro update to 0.5.16

Thanks for all the suggestions! Power Chart Pro is now at 0.5.16. Here are the main additions and improvements since 0.4.9:

- **Raw history export:** Export stored samples and quality information for selected historian tags within the displayed time range, independently of the chart’s display resampling, aggregation and scaling. Export limits are checked to avoid silently producing incomplete files.

- **Annotation export:** Export annotation text and associated source/time information for the selected tags and period, including overlapping annotations.

- **Improved X-trace:** Place and drag traces between samples, including along rising and falling straight-line segments. Interpolated readings are explicitly labelled. Information boxes have improved positioning and overlap handling.

- **Improved annotations:** Place annotations along straight-line segments, rather than only at sample positions or on flat sections.

- **Time controls:** More configurable time-axis formatting, historical duration selection that preserves the end time, and step-by-step undo of time/Y-axis zoom.

- **History resolution:** Choose the requested number of display points per pen, with a separate raw-data option and warning.

- **Alternative chart data:** Supply data through JSON property bindings, including dataset-to-JSON workflows. Plot spacing and external X-trace timestamp control are also configurable.

- **Reliability and UI fixes:** Better separation of pens sharing the same source, improved property updates and realtime recovery, cleaner numeric formatting, more consistent settings panels, and axis controls that no longer cover the date labels.

- **Saved configurations:** Improved saving and recovery of recent trend configurations. Users who are not signed in no longer get an automatic-save warning simply from using the chart.

- **Language selection:** Supports Norwegian, English, Spanish, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Italian. It follows the Perspective session language by default, with a saved personal override for signed-in users. Regional date and number formats remain unchanged.

I found a bug when your trend a string. If the string starts with a number the tool-tip only displays that number and truncates the reset of the string. Why trend a string you ask? It's nice for things like CIP cycles. As you look at the data you can see what cycle the system was in, like "Prewash", "Wash" etc. I found the bug when trending the CIP cycle name. In the PLC the names all start with the circuit number. So "07 CIP Tank 7" just displays "7.00". Tech support says they will send it for a feature request. Also the formatting is not changeable. Numbers always get 2 decimal places.

Power Chart Pro is now at version 0.5.22.

Since 0.5.16, we’ve added String tag state bands with full mtext hover and X-Trace readouts, plus an option to place String pens in a separate plot. Labels such as “07 CIP Tank 7” remain text, including the leading zero.

Numeric X-Trace readouts now follow each pens number format. We’ve also improved handling of unchanged String states, so they remain visible across the selected time range even without a new recorded change.

Thanks for the suggestions!
