That would be a productivity improvement not having to keep relocating the right hand to operate the mouse. I never got good with the thinkpad nub..

Its possible I am.

But its exactly how I felt after sitting in a chair I spent hundreds of dollars on. I guess I just expected more for the money but perhaps my expectations were too high.

In an effort to create more jobs, my employer hires people to be our office chairs. Desks too.

When I realized that I was spending 8-10 hours in the chair and my back was killing me. I purchased a SecretLabs and never looked back. I have four now. Initially they feel firm however back pain is not a thing. They last a long time but you can also order replacement parts when needed.

It's good to do exercises to improve core strength too. Greatly helps in avoiding back problems.

I found this out the hard way when I broke a rib; resulting in a lot of lost core strength. I ended up in a great deal of back pain.

I’ve got a desky:

> Experience a chair that’s made for more. The Desky Big & Tall High Back Office Chair is purpose-built for users who need superior support, larger seating space, and day-long comfort. Its high backrest and 52 cm deep, wide seat are ideal for bigger...

I’m also 6’5” so I get back pain from anything normal sized, none of the secretlabs were recommended for tall people.

I’ve also switched to a Logitech MX Vertical mouse, and no longer get a numb thumb.

I have a secretLab at home, its about 4 \*years old now, i think? The strut under the chair is starting to go though.

In the office i just have whatever is already at the desk space.

I tried one of these and it's been sitting in my drawer for the last 2 years, I couldn't get used to it. I felt I was doing more work gripping the thing to stop my hand falling off of it, and found my cursor precision just wasn't the same. Maybe it just needed more time... 🤷‍♂️ I also couldn't go back from the Logitech MX Master's weighted scroll wheel and the magnetic shifter that freewheels the wheel if you scroll it quickly. I love that feature. I would have thought their ergo mouse would have definitely included that feature to save scroll finger fatigue...

I went from a MX Master to the vertical, the master is far too small for my hand, the vertical is best for large hands. My hand rests on the table during use. I miss the scroll wheel most.

I wish Logitech would update the Vertical... quiet click keys, maybe a nice scroll wheel, maybe higher DPI? I switch between the Master and Vertical frequently.

Ive been using a logitech M325 mouse for almost 10 years. Not ergonomic for sure. But its small, and so cheap that I don't care if I need to use it in a dirty factory environment. Hasn't broke on me yet! I've been through 3 different laptops in the same amount of time.

I've used a logitech M570 (and its wired equivalent) for years. Always fun to watch someone who is unaware of the type of mouse try to figure out how I'm moving my cursor with my arms crossed across my chest(mouse in one hand). On the bright side, I can use the mouse without a flat surface.

The MX Ergo is also great, they have a USB C version now. It’s fantastic for field work.

Ewww! Those aren't ergonomic at all--exactly the **wrong** curvature for one's back. Which makes me think you are a spammer taking advantage of a work chair discussion.
