# Where is data being processed, gateway or client?

I have a view with custom property pulling tag history, another custom property processes the dataset, the output is fed on a table component.

I assume, the processing of dataset take place on gateway and only transfers data to client when outputing to a component.

Is this right?

Yes. In Perspective, all expressions and scripts run on the gateway.
