# Why hasn't there been a 'Select All' feature for the multi-select dropdown component?

Hi All,

I recently had a requirement to select all the options in a dropdown without including a ‘Select All’ checkbox. Found a solution for that on here - [Perspective multi select drop down select all](https://forum.inductiveautomation.com/t/perspective-multi-select-drop-down-select-all/51960)

Simply curious about this… 🤔

I usually put a selection called ‘ALL’ in the dropdown. It may or may not have been a solution for you. 🤷‍♂️

The answer is, of course, not everyone requires one.
